Hello, I had a question regarding requests and character categories, using your examples:
If the requester wants to nominate a character or ship from the Parent Fandom (so Percy Weasley or ship Percy Weasley/Oliver Wood are from HP fandom), but the Fanwork "Harry Without Glasses" never included any Percy or Oliver scenes (the requester just wants to see how Percy and Oliver as characters we know from the Parent Fandom might have reactions to the loss of Harry's spectacles in this Fanwork continuity), would they use the "I want recursive fanwork about minor or background ships in this fanwork" character request, even though these Parent characters did not appear in the fanwork? Or would this be an unacceptable request?
(other scenarios I'm imagining: someone asks for a variation of a Soulmate AU fic that centers on a couple C/D introduced later in the Parent Fandom, so C/D wouldn't have been included in the Original Fanwork focusing on the origin of the Original relationship A/B)
